MESSAGE TITLE: THE POWER OF PERCEPTION

TEXT: ACTS 2:1-13

SERMON OBJECTIVE: To reveal how the power of perception not only guides our actions but also reveals our true character as well as the team we represent.

INTRODUCTION: Have you ever noticed how a group of people can witness the same event but all have a different reaction and view as to what took place. This is very simply the power of perception. The trouble with perception is that too many times a persons’ perception is one dimensional. In other words, all we see are the parts that we consider to be of most importance to our own self interests. Let me give you an example: The other day I was at a ball game when every one in the bleachers on the other side exploded with excitement as this little guy came to the plate and smacks the ball into right field. A few seconds later everyone on our side exploded when Chris Waters made a great catch in right field and turned that hit into an out. Read more
